This is the last First Tuesday Networking Event before the summer break!This networking event is held monthly in different locations in Hamilton and is one component of a larger local focus on the industry. Stephen Hayes grew up in Peterborough, Ontario. In 1985 he enrolled at The University of Waterloo, and graduated with a BFA in Film Studies. Since the early 90’s he has worked in Television and Film Production. His screen credits include: The Love Guru (June08) La Femme Nikita, Honey, Cinderella Man, and Killshot.
In 2005 Amarcord Productions was formed to realize the dream of writing and producing independent feature films from the working class city of Hamilton.
We have recently completed principal photography of our first independent feature: "Lucky 7". The screenplay was recently nominated for best original screenplay at the 2007 Queens International Film Festival in NYC.

Fundraiser- Thank You!

Just a quick note of thanks to everyone who supported our recent fundraiser: NUIT NOIR. From a simple idea a couple of months ago- this turned into a very special evening- I hope everyone who attended had as much fun as I did.
