Wednesday, August 21st, we hosted a public meeting to present the Hamilton Music Strategy. The event went really well with lots of feedback and suggestions from the crowd of about 70 people.

Over the coming weeks we will be reviewing these comments and we will continue to edit the strategy until we are satisfied that we have captured the 'whole story' prior to going to City Council in December of this year.

In the mean time, we have an Open House booked for Tuesday, September 24th from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Tourism Centre in the Lister Building, 28 James Street North, Hamilton.

We hope that you will join us, read the strategy and talk about what this means for Hamilton.

Goal 1: Organizational / Infrastructure
To create and nurture an environment where music
and the music industry can flourish and grow.

To recognize and celebrate Hamilton's diverse talent, deep musical roots and showcase it locally, nationally and around the world.
Goal 3: Audience Awareness/Education
To educate and engage local/regional audiences in order to create a better understanding and recognition of the magnitude of Hamilton's music heritage and music community/talent.
Goal 4: Audiences/Communication
To foster rich and exciting musical experiences for all Hamilton citizens and visitors.

To sustain and grow a strong, vibrant music industry
and music scene.

To develop a reputation as a dynamic, exciting music
community that fosters, supports and attracts music
talent and creativity.
